Cruise Ships

Dartmouth is one of the South West’s premier destinations for cruise liners! A deep water port, we are capable of taking and turning around cruise liners up to 182m long inside the river. Added to this, we can accommodate larger vessels because we are an outstandingly beautiful deep water port. Vessels of length 230 metres are recorded as having visited in the summer months. The port offers a spectacular entry and departure for both passengers and spectators alike – the visiting liner dominates the scene in the port during their day calls to the town. When the passengers come ashore, an extra sense of vibrancy is detected as they wander through the town’s streets and shops. Here, at the Harbour Authority, we are normally informed well in advance if a cruise liner is visiting.

We hope you will come down and enjoy seeing and taking part in the bustling port in the heart of Dartmouth. If you are lucky, you may see a passing super yacht or tall ship which often visit us here, or members of the Dartmouth Players in costume as the Pilgrim Fathers to welcome cruise ship passengers to the town. Have a fantastic stay in Dartmouth.

What possible things can I do when I’m in that place, to ride the ship, go around, or eat something, ah I make my self happy alone.
